Lighten Up Buttercup

...yumm green juice latte! How could this be anything but good for you?

Well this weekend with my parents was wonderful in the moment, but now I am suffering from post-cooked food dis-ease.

The universe could not make it any CLEARER to me that cooked foods, dense raw foods (we did go to a wonderful raw restaurant with them one night, but I have to say I woke up feeling just as bad overindulging in raw food as I did cooked food!), SALT and fatty foods are not serving me in a healthy way AT ALL! In fact, I have become so sensitive to salt that I swear my ankles and entire body felt swollen and water retained after each meal.

So what's a bloated girl to do? Fast! Today I decided to really lighten things up with mostly juices and a little bit of fruit in it's whole forms to keep my body from going in "OH NO, not again" freak-out mode ( I only drank juice for 30 days straight and now my mind and body flip out every time I consider just juicing for a day.).

And I am already feeling so much lighter, happier and sharper. Thank goodness!

While my parents were here we also went to the Bodies Exhibition. WOW is all I can say. Our bodies are so much more delicate, complex, genius and beautiful than I even knew! It was both fascinating and disturbing to see examples of a healthy organ next to a cancerous or diseased organ. Really affirmed what we are all trying to do...be vibrant and happy beings!

I highly recommend seeing this show. It is a life changer...

Today I had (in order):

7:30 am 20oz water with lemon

1 slice watermelon

16oz green juice with apple and lemon

20oz Tri-Berry smoothie with spirulina and bee pollen

20 oz Watermelon juice

20 oz Green Lemonade

2 nectarines

12 oz Watermelon Juice

4 small bananas (probably only needed one or two)

2 apples (mindless munching at the computer, whoops!)

9:30pm 10oz Green Lemonade (nectar of the gods!)

Seems like a lot documenting it like this, but I did feel light all day! :)

I also did my usual to work and back walks (2 hrs total) and a few spontaneous sprints to get out of the rain!

Plan to do a similar diet tomorrow because I am feeling so good again.

The body exhibition sounds fascinating!

When I was going back and forth from SAD to fruit, every time I dipped into SAD it seemed like my "symptoms" got more and more pronounced. It was like my body was screaming, "Don't mess with me anymore, I thought you were for real this last time!" Sounds similar to what you are feeling!

I'm glad you feel better :)
