Juice Feast: Day Twentythree

....no chocolate eggs this year for this chica! Oh, btw, the yellow gloves are not a fashion statement, but have saved my hands from turning into chapped prunes.
Sleep: 11:00pm-7:30am
Skin brushing/tongue scraping Hot/cold contrasting shower
Juice: 32 ounces "Sweet Tarts" --pear, apple, kiwi, cucumber (that was for you Judy!), cilantro, lime
Juice: 16 oz "Thai Greens" from Pure Food and Wine Take Away-- greens with pineapple, cilantro and lime (yum!)
Juice: 32 ounces "Pretty in Pink" --tangelo, blood orange, pink grapefruit with liquid C, Vitamin D3 and MSM
Coconut water: 32 oz
Hot Tea: peppermint, dandelion root, and ginger
Yoga: 90 mins of pure yoga love with the hilarious Vanessa at Vira. It was also such a treat to practise with my beloved yoga friends -- Adam and Judy.
Sunkissed: 30 mins on the "patio"
Walk: 1 hour
Connecting: I delicious conversations with some of my dearest friends and family today. It feels so good to get connected again with folks after a long hibernation. Big hugs to Jeff and Jodi, Jessie, Susan, Mom, Debbie and Lois!

Happy Easter everyone. Well, I indulged a bit today and took the holiday off from my usual marathon juicing. I wasn't really planning on a vacation but it just worked out that way. See, in order to get to yoga on time I only was able to make two juices at home, both of which happened to be the fruity ones. By the time I got home, cooked an awesome (not that I tasted it, but it looked divine if I may say so myself) Easter brunch for Michael, I really just wanted to go outside and enjoy the weather rather than spend another hour juicing. So I was a very bad JFer and played hookie and made NO green juices!! I did walk out to Pure and get one greener juice, but it also had fruit in it. Oh well, I definitely don't recommend it, because I felt a little unstable all day -- not hungry unstable, but like I had had two much sweet and nothing balancing it out. Sleep was also restless and light, but I feel fine today and figure it is all part of this big experiment; pushing the boundaries and seeing what happens -- kinda fun, actually!

I am also teeming with ideas for my upcoming wedding in August. My excitement to plan something other than my juices for the day and when I am going to shop for juices, etc., etc., is so strong.

My visions for the future are also super clear and feel very possible. One thing that I have gained --other than all the nutrients from the juices on this cleanse-- is confidants and clarity. I think I needed this challenge to get over my fears around future decision making (namely, whether or not to have kids, buy property, where to go professionally -- you know all that "adult" stuff :).

JFing has turned out to be such a rewarding experience in so many more ways than I imagined before starting! With only 7 days left (it went by SO fast), I look forward to just enjoying myself, reflecting on what all of this means, and getting clear on how I want to proceed from here now that I have pushed the "reset" button many times during the course of this amazing journey!

Many thanks to you all for listening, sharing and lovingly embracing me.

Thanks! I picked that shirt up a while ago in the East Village. I was already raw at the time, but I couldn't resist. Now it has become my juicing t-shirt of choice.
I hate to brag, but it's 50 and sunny here today, again! I wish I could send you some warm currents of air your way! Hey, when you come down to NYC you can use our infared sauna at the place I work. Maybe we will have to do a spa day? WHooHooo can't wait!
Stay warm love!
