I am happy to report that I still managed to get all my juices sucked up and life practices in despite having to leave the house at the crack of dawn. Key to juicefeasting success? Get up super early and give yourself ample time! Just the thought of running out of juice before noon was terrifying enough to get me up before the sun.
So one consistent hardship I have been facing while juicefeasting is desperately wanting to curl up and take a nice little cat nap at EXACTLY 4 o'clock every afternoon!? It doesn't seem to matter whether or not I got enough sleep, have had too much fruit juice or not enough green juice...I can't figure it out, but literally my eyes close and my brain shuts off completely. Today I found myself even dozing off sitting up on the job (not giving a colonic thank god!;), and unless I go outside into the cool air and walk around, I can't seem to shake the sleepiness...but then, as though a spell has been broken 5 o'clock rolls around and the feeling is gone and my energy is back. Humm, mystery spell....
Two very big cravings today: 1) shopping for "pretty" things and 2) going somewhere warm where I can sport a beautiful summer dress, sip tutti-frutties (whatever that is? as long as it's sweet and pretty I am content) and lounge on the beach all day.
I walked home tonight along fifth ave., which I usually avoid, and I found myself pressed up against the storefront windows salivating over all the shimmery, shiny, sparkly, perfectly cut and tailored couture on display. And I desired it all: Prada handbags (especially this incredibly soft leather one that comes in this Hubba-Bubba grape flavor color), Roberto Cavalli hand painted, silk dresses (as shown in today's pic of the day) and Bvlgari chunky charm jewelry. I don't know what has come over me, but I feel like one juiced up lady on a mission and with a credit card ready to blow some mad cash on some beautiful wear!
Is this me talkin'? Thrift-shop queen??
I have to admit that I am noticing as my inner-body starts to transform and "clean-up" my outer-body is feeling more confident then ever and ready for a whole new "look." Thankfully, every ounce of $$ is going towards either kale or my wedding (and these days it is in that order) so I won't be really acting on these material desires, but my inner Lakshmi (goddess of prosperity all things beautiful) has found her way to my heart and wallet.
I have also decided that I need to somehow get myself to a warm (preferably tropical) place at least once during the winter time. Not sure if it is my old age or what, but this yearning to get warmed through and through and to see greens, blues, purples and yellows in their natural environments is where my cravings lie..more so than for food. Next year it's me, my sweat-heart, a freshly made fruit juice, a JCREW bathing suit (well, at least it's more in my price range;) and the beach....ahhh
Till then this juicy, thrifty, kale queen is staying right here.
Big hugs,
Kyle
