Yoga: 2 hour advanced practice with the incredible Zhenja at Vira Yoga
Walk: About 45 total today --more to get to and from than "power walking," although I was sure booking it to get to yoga on time!
I was sooo happy to get to yoga class today --it’s been way to long. I used to go everyday or every other day and then life and worked picked up so much that now getting there twice a week feels like an accomplishment. But, despite feeling disappointed that I can't make it more often, I have to say coming back to my beloved practice is more of a treat then ever. My body, although feeling stiff and stuck in places that are normally more open, was just so delighted to be engaged again and looked after. Consciously breathing deeply and steadily felt just as nourishing as my super green juice after class.
It reminds me how so many things feed us --breath, mantra, thoughts, actions, impressions, food, JUICE....the list goes on and on. Clients are always so amazed by how much comes out of them time after time during their colonic sessions—mainly because they are only thinking about their food consumption. But really when you consider every thing we ingest in a day/week/ month/ year/lifetime, all of which gets stored inside of us, thank god we do have the capacity to eliminate as much as we do!
Today in Yoga, my teacher Zhenja was taking about our "food body," literally the physical self that is a manifestation of ALL we take in. We are what we eat, literally, and our consumption choices (we always have a choice) reflect who we are. That reflection gets seen on the outside (aka, our outer body) and acts as a barometer of what is going on in the inside. Finding the connection between the two is the yoga. Of course this is all happening whether we are "yogis" or not, so you don't have to get caught up in the fancy titles, however how you proceed to engage with what is being offered and reflected back to you is the key to true empowerment.
So far with Day 5 coming to a close, I have not felt too many intense shifts or changes regarding my inner or outer body, but then again it dawned on me in class that I am not giving myself much time to just sit with this process. Seems like I am always "doing" something whether it be shopping for more veggies and fruits, washing and prepping, juicing, drinking, cleaning, getting all the life practices in, working, blogging or exercising. So my goal for the coming days is to sit and reflect more; to turn inside and really tune into all the subtle changes that I am not noticing with all my external busyness. I am really looking forward to being still, quiet and in my heart now that I have this whole juicing thing down ;)
All Love,
Kyle

Hello dear Kyle,
Oh, I would have loved to be in that class today. Too many directions asking for my attention. It's sad sometimes to choose where to be, when there are three great options at any given moment! Let me know when you find the algorithm for taking time to reflect - that too, was my biggest challenge whilst feasting. It seems there is always something to do!
Lovely post - hope to see you soon, sweet girl!
